Because some of us have better things to do than wrestle with tinsel. It’s pretty simple really.

Pick up some chalk markers in your preferred holidays colours  from you local stationers. They should be about $8 each.

Scribble away on any easy to wipe surface.

You don’t need to have amazing fine-art skillz either. A bunch of hearts, snowflakes and stars will do nicely. Even small children can manage that!

I finished these doodles in about five minutes.

The best part about these decorations is that they’re so easy to get rid of on boxing day. Just wipe ‘em away with a damp cloth.
